Design

Design to me is the heart of every story. At the core of every design is a story waiting to be told. This story is not just visual; it is emotional, cultural, and deeply symbolic. My design approach is driven by this belief, particularly in my exploration of African motifs and symbols, which are rich in meaning and history. For example, a single straight line can carry various interpretations across cultures. In one context, it might represent a pathway, a journey of life, or a connection between people and nature. In another, it could symbolize unity, order, or a link between past and present. It is this multifaceted power of design that fuels my work, where each line, shape, and symbol is deliberately chosen to evoke meaning, stir emotions, and tell a story.
Through years of practice, I’ve come to understand that the smallest details I incorporate are crucial to the overall success of a project. I believe that these subtle elements whether it's the texture of a material, the alignment of patterns, or the interplay of light are what give a design its true essence. By paying close attention to these nuances, I elevate a design from ordinary to extraordinary, allowing its story to develop to creating a deeper connection with those who experience it.
